Want to know more about epilepsy?

Ever wanted to find out more about epilepsy?   Why not come along to Epilepsy Scotland’s information event on 30 July. You can meet us in The Nevis Centre, Fort William from 3pm - 8pm.

We can tell you about the wide range of services on offer including a freephone helpline, website, information and leaflets.  There will also be a general awareness talk on epilepsy which will give you the chance to ask any specific questions.

Epilepsy Scotland already provides training in understanding and managing epilepsy.  It helps raise awareness of epilepsy by giving talks to local schools and community groups.  It also campaigns for better healthcare and is lobbying health boards, including NHS Highland, to increase the number of specialist nurses.

Epilepsy Link Officer Craig Blair is encouraging people living in and around Fort William to find out more.  He said: “In this area there are few services to support people who have epilepsy.  Having this common neurological condition can often be an isolating experience.  Our services can make a difference for people and their families.  We hope many will come to meet us and share their experiences.  If you want to learn about epilepsy, we look forward to seeing you there!”
