Dundee do you want to know more about epilepsy ?
Here’s your chance to find out more about epilepsy. You can pop along to Dundee Voluntary Action, Number 10, 10 Constitution Road, Dundee, DD1 1LL on Tuesday 17 February from 5 pm – 8 pm.
National charity Epilepsy Scotland will explain more about the services they provide. There’s a freephone helpline, website, information and leaflets. We offer epilepsy awareness training, talks to groups and schools and one to one community support. The organisation also campaigns for better care. It successfully simplified the application process for free travel cards for people with epilepsy. It also is currently lobbying health boards to increase the number of specialist nurses.
User Involvement Officer Craig Blair is encouraging people living in and around the Tayside area to come along and find out more information on epilepsy. He said: “This event is a great way for people to find out the latest information about epilepsy. There’s an opportunity to meet others and share your experiences and meet staff from Epilepsy Scotland. We look forward to seeing you there!”
